Please join local musicians and personalities for a fundraising golf tourney Friday May 21, starting at 3pm, at Rose Brook Golf Course, in Silver Creek, which is only 19 minutes from the Lackawanna toll booth, right on the thurway exit in Silver Creek NY.
OP Music House is preparing to purchase the former Alliance Church on Southwestern Boulevard and Abbott Roads and opening it as a Community Center. It will feature a music venue and basic recording studio for young adults, as well as support services for those affected by domestic violence and abuse.
This is the first fundraising event for the venture, announced in January 2010. Founder Suzanne Perry was featured on the KB radio show 'Heard it on the X' to promote this charitable organization 501(c)3 and can be seen on youtube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x_6XdhlHKg
Season golf passes will be raffled off valued at $640 each as well as a Flip video car system and other items, prizes, food and drinks.
For $20 players can participate in a 9-hole tourney but non-golfers can come out to socialize and learn about the new venture which will support and educate about domestic abuse in WNY.
If you can't come out til after work still do, POWER HOUR is 6-7pm when drinks are only $1.
And stick around for live music on the green starting at 7pm with the infamous Joe Head and The Thirds.
