Paul Hoffman of LakeView NY (Frontier 08)claimed individual conference titles. earning all-conference honors for Mount Olive at the 2010 Conference Carolinas Men’s Track and Field Championship in Banner Elk, N.C.
Hoffman won the 3,000 meter steeplechase, winning by 39 seconds. At the
2010 Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Track and Field Southeast Regional at Hickory, N.C
Hoffman finished first out of seven competitors in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Paul Hoffman broke his own school record steeplechase as the Mount Olive College men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Wake Forest University Invitational at Winston-Salem, N.C.
Hoffman placed fifth out of 20 competitors – nine from Division I schools – in the steeplechase . Hoffman’s time was 12 seconds better than his school record time last week and only seconds off the NCAA provisional qualifying standard. Hoffman also eclipsed the existing school record in the 800 meter .
