Eddie

My Friend Ed

After suffering a head injury in 1996, I was working hard on my recovery. 8 years ago, I was a volunteer for Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels, I drove past the SPCA on Esminger Road and stopped in on a daily basis for about 6 months. One day I found Eddie. Lost, alone and scared, like me. He was 2 years old. I decided to adopt him. Since 2002 we have been inseperable. In the long run, Eddie has helped me to regain my confidence and reduce MY panic attacks. I almost lost him last year when he suffered a freak internal injury. He was in intensive care for 4 weeks. I never knew how much he has done for ME. He is a super pal, and the Mayor of my neighborhood, greeting everyone with a wagging tail, pep in his step and a ready kiss for any baby!
