Earlier you mentioned the Statue of Liberty and taking kids to visit. We just returned from visiting Liberty Island, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. My Grandsons - Robert 10 years old and Devin 4 years old. It was an amazing trip,seeing everything through their eyes. Robert was really into Ellis Island and Devin hasn't stopped talking about the Statue of Liberty. I have loads of pictures but I am computer challenged (or defeated). Sorry. I really want to urge families to take their children - there is a lot of things that we didn't know e.g. the Statue of Liberty had shrapnel in her arm due to a terrorist attack years ago on a nearby island, Ellis Island was built over a fort that was summarily buried to make room for the immigrant facility. I am sorry about the pictures - I have about 80 of them.
