In 1914 Rodman Wanamaker funded the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company $25,000 to build a flying boat capable of crossing the Atlantic. The Curtiss Restoration Shop is building a "flying" reproduction of this aeroplane. you can see it under construction at the Curtiss Museum. It is planned to fly at the annual Curtiss Seaplne Homecoming Sept 14 - 16 at the original site on Keuka Lake, Hammondsport NY
