Saturday, June 16, 7:30 pm – The Camerata di Sant’ Antonio Chamber Orchestra, hosted by WNED’s Peter Hall, celebrates the Feast of St. Anthony in a concert of all Italian music. Music Director Christopher Weber leads the ensemble in the North American premier of the recently reconstructed Concerto in Honor of the Sacred Tongue of St. Anthony by Antonio Vivaldi, featuring concert master Irene Cheng. The concert will also feature Giovanni Martini’s Sinfonia in D, Domenico Cimarosa’s Concerto for Oboe and Strings (Paul Schlossman, oboe), and the Ancient Airs and Dances Suite #3 by Ottorino Resphigi. Champagne on the piazza before the concert (weather permitting), reception to follow, $13. Call 854-2563 for advance tickets.
