Gallery 51 is excited and proud to be hosting an exhibit by world
renowned African-Canadian Artist David Kibuuka.

from 5pm-8pm at Gallery 51 567-569 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222.
The exhibit will be on display until July 21st.

In 1983, David Kibuuka was able to immigrate to Canada to finish his
studies at the Ontario College of Art and Design. On completion of his
formal studies, along with the Modern Batik Art techniques, David was
ready and very able to launch a remarkable career.

Over the past 20 years, David has owned and operated three successful
art galleries in Toronto and Los Angeles. His loyal clientele consists
of collectors from the business, sports and entertainment communities.
As well, David's humanitarian efforts have supported a world wide
fundraising effort by UNICEF from the years of 1990-1993. Four of
David's images decorated four greeting cards which were sold world
wide to benefit their Children's Foundation. In 2005, collaboration
between World Vision Canada, Artistic Canada and David was formed to
produce posters using David's images for the purpose of raising money
to benefit "Hope initiative" which provides prevention, care and
advocacy programs for children and those affected by the HIV/AIDS
pandemic in Africa.

His virtual gallery found at www.kibuuka.com gives David the time to
follow his real passion which is teaching Modern Batik Art. His
workshops have been held in the USA, Canada, Africa, Europe, and in
several Caribbean countries.

David has observed over the years the positive results of this art
form on students of all ages. Whether one is young or a senior young
at heart, his Modern Batik Art Workshops offers unique techniques for
the student's self expression.

Gallery 51 will be looking for participants for these workshops which
will take place here in Buffalo, as well as, area sponsors. For more
