September 26 is very important to Betty Jackowiak and myself (Amy MacGregor-Morrisey). 9/26/77 was the day my son Cpl. Jacob Pfister was born. He was KIA 4/19/05 in Baghdad, Iraq. Betty's son Cpl. Henry "Rick" Jackowiak was KIA on 9/26/1967 in Vietnam. Rick was born 7/22/46, I was born 7/22/57. In 1936 by Presidential proclamation the last sunday in September is designated as Gold Star Mothers Day. Gold Star Mother is the title given to Mothers that lost a child in Military service to our Country. God Bless Them and let Our Sons Never Be Forgotten.
