Seaway Trail Blazing

While looking for kayak put-ins this past weekend, I found a tiny jewel along Route 5 in Wanakah, where a former water processing building has been converted into a Seaway Trail Center. Although the center wasn't open at the time, a viewing deck with benches, a stairway down to the water, and a short trail with picnic bench encouraged me to brave a brisk wind to watch the whitecaps and the sun set.

Yes the seaway trail center is a nice touch on lakeshore road. If only the road was more pedestrian and Bike path friendly. The narrow shoulders limit the comfort factor on the busy roadway.
