An exercise in patience this was carved from a single 6 x 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 inch Basswood block... The same patience I suppose is needed in marrage... 90% of the work is in thinking it out since once you take the knife to the wood there is no turning back... The verse on top reads:
A woman's web
envelopes a man,
Two gold rings
their wedding band.

I gave this to my brother and his wife as they have many hand-made articals decorating their house.
