TORNADO IN CLARENCE

IN WESTERN NEW YORK:
Taken at 4:45 pm E.T. July 25th 2009

Check out the Tornado I caught with my camera-it was filmed between Westwood R.d and Erie St. on Town Line R.d (where I live), and the tornado pounced near the ground N, NW out by Clarence/North Lancaster.

I am sorry for it's rigidness-I was in the middle of a rainstorm, and the adrenaline was flowing. I also set it at 400% Fast Forward so you could see how the tornado formed.

Cool footage, it is overwhelming to see something like that in real life - camera stillness isn't what is on your mind! Glad everyone is ok tonight.

I live in lancaster and we almost got hit by a tornado but i did see some funnel clouds almost to the ground. I just can't believe we had a tornado

Good job....I would be shaking with excitement too! I guess that's why all the professional storm-chasers get those image-stabilized videocameras! They are shaking too! lol ! :-)

Wow...I live in Lancaster and didn't see anything that cool! I know that I'd be so excited if I was seeing that that I wouldn't be able to keep still. (Plus the fact that it's 4x faster than when you took it doesn't help.) Thanks for sharing!

IT's hard to tell. It could be just scud cloud forming into a wall cloud.
