i was walking downtown and i lokked over and there was a cop driving while talking on his cell phone... Now this is not fair, cause if that had been me I would have got a ticket!!!! Hmmm i wonder why he is above us..Maybe cause he is a cop!!!!!

i also got a similar responce to Dave Manhardt from the officer but i would like to see where it says that those select officials are exempt from the law surrounding the use of cell phones

I see this all the time and I've even asked a cop while he was stopped at a corner talking on his cell phone why it was ok for him to be on his cell phone driving and not civilians. Lets just say he wasn't too happy with me for questioning him on it

As I was told by a local sheriff in my county, the police ,EMS and fire personal are exempt from the law surrounding the use of cell phones. But yes, your correct, if this was you or myself, we certainly would have gotten a ticket. "Hog Wash"
