While driving on Rte. 219, we were crossing over Cattaraugus Creek south of Springville, New York, and saw the current construction of the 219 Expressway Bridge over the creek. The bridge construction progress has been slow, due to the southern hill sliding down dangerously into the creek. Progress has been made, but not without additional cost to the porject.
