I always see this type of butterfly cling to the brick wall during this time of year in Lackawanna. Notice how it camouflages with the brick and mortar color.

This is a female cecropia moth.Females are normally larger than males(females can have a wing expanse of over 6")They also have larger/plumped abdomens & less broadly feathered antennae than males.Russell Granata
