In case anyone observed a UFO or other unusual object flying around in Amherst, I'm writing to let everyone know that my daughter accidentally released our awesome parafoil tie-dye kite at Margaret Louise Park at
3:30pm this afternoon (5/17/09).
After we chased it scuttling across Hopkins Rd., the kite pulled our green reel handle up a tree where it got wedged (the 4th tree in from Hopkins, across the street from the park).
At 7:40pm, 3 hrs later, the kite is still flying high, over 200' up in the air with a two-colored tail. Good thing Santa's not flying by this time
of year :-)
If anyone has a tie dye kite land on their roof, pool, lawn or car (and no-one got hurt), feel free to contact us at: MissingKite@EmmasCloset.com
Thank you!
