Person trapped under SUV

A pedestrian was hit by and then trapped under an SUV just off Genesee Street near Harlem Road in Cheektowaga. This happened around 6:30pm tonight (May 13.) The rescue crew worked to lift the SUV off the ground and then went underneath the vehicle to tend to the injured person. The victim was taken away in an ambulance.

this is my best friends aunt and me and my family are praying for her and her family members. how did the person in the suv not see her this is a terrible sham and i hope that she feels terrible for what happened. love always trish

Sheesh, get a grip, you can't see the lady at all. I could see if she was all sprawled out in the street and someone stuck a camera in her face and splashed it all over the newspapers.

Thanks for your synopsis on the definition of "accident", freedom of speech, constitutional rights etc. I am very educated and very well aware of all that. But common sense and discretion also keep reports of events like this in good taste.

To Teri...An accident, is just that, . publishing it , is public record...posting this or any story is everyone's rights' listed under the constitution...Freedom of speech...If you don't like the story, turn the page...

The accident itself is horrible! But it's also horrible to post the picture of it online. Remember that it's somebody's loved one. How would you like it if it were YOUR loved one trapped under the vehicle and their picture was online???

This is one of my best friends grandmother and it is so horrible that this happened!!! I am praying for her and her family I know she will get through this. I keep wondering how this could've happened??? I love you guys and wish the best!!
