Attached are pictures taken at our home in Delevan, NY. It may be of interest for Mother’s Day.
The pictures may look like a typical bird’s nest, but a closer look will reveal that this Robin chose to build her nest in an artificial Christmas tree sitting on our front deck! Look closely and you can see the wires and Christmas lights still on the tree. The tree couldn’t be taken down in January or February or March, due to weather conditions in this area. By the time the snow melted enough in Delevan, and we could get on the deck to take the tree down, a Robin’s nest was discovered in the back of the tree. We were flabbergasted! We feel like true Rednecks!
It will be Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10th. I thought it may be appropriate to share this with other mother’s to remind them of how we sometimes have to bend the rules (and become temporary “Rednecks”) when life steps in.
I hope these pictures bring a smile to your face and a glow in your heart for all mothers – old, new and to be.
