My name is Mary Jo Briggs and I am a holistic health counselor studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan. I was born and raised in Western New York and reside there still. My background in public law and policy followed by a masters in counseling led me to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. As a holistic counselor I support people in achieving high levels of wellness and fitness including such areas as career, financial, creative, spiritual and of course basic nutrition. My teachers at the school include Deepok Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. David Katz, Bernie Siegel, Dr. Mark Hyman and more! Recently a panel of the most innovative professionals presented information to a senate committee on the state of healthcare in the US and offered solutions and recommendations. The utilization of health coaches and counselors was one recommendation. As a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition I have the knowledge and confidence to assist people, schools, organizations and corporations to improve health, achieve life goals and make the world a better place for everyone.
