On Sat. Feb. 28, Senator Cathy Young, Congressman Eric Massa and eight other speakers "toasted" the positive things about the Greater Olean Area at the First Annual Toast of the Town event hosted by Olean Toastmasters and the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was held at the CutCo Theater at the JCC Olean Campus.
Headlines about a national economic recession, political corruption, crime and tragedy get a lot of attention in the media.
But many people may miss the good news stories that happen in our community all the time.
The intention of the event was to inspire community members to get involved in the community and to communicate with others about the great things going on in the area.
