Ceramic Artist Jason Briggs

Feburary 12 - 13
Ceramic artist Jason Briggs comes to Buffalo State College for a two-day workshop on Thursday, February 12, and Friday, February 13. The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day and will be held in the Ceramics Studio, Upton Hall 128. All are welcome to attend any part of this free workshop.

Briggs' porcelain sculptures possess a mysterious, otherworldly quality. The artist's work is included in several public and private collections around the United States and abroad—including the World Ceramic Center in Ichon, Korea, and the Ceramic Research Center in Tempe, Arizona.

Briggs received his M.F.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1999. The ceramic artist was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission in 2006. http://www.buffalostate.edu/design/
