80 Yr Old Defends Self With Cane

Mr James Voutsinas, a student at Central New York Karate and Kobudo for over twelve years, recently tested for his 2nd degree black belt (nidan).

In spite of a debilitating condition caused by a car accident last year, Mr Voutsinas demonstrates some very effective self defense techniques using the cane he now carries.

"Karate is not just for young people," says CNY Karate Director Marvin Labbate. "It would be useless if an older person could not learn it and be able to defend themselves."
