Happy Thanksgiving!

Celebrating Thanksgivng

On Thursday November 20th, 2008, the pre-k and kindergarten students at St. Amelia School participated in their annual Thanksgiving feast. The feast is a culmination of the unit that the students have been working on learning about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims. They also learn about the very first Thanksgiving that was celebrated in America, which is the inspiration for this event. Each class of students at the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten grade levels dressed up to re-enact the historic first Thanksgiving Day. Along with dressing up the students’ even helped make their own food that they shared with each other, with the help of parents for some of the bigger food items.
