Fundraiser to benefit Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, October 18th Book Nook, D & F Plaza, Dunkirk, NY. From 1-4 PM I will read selected poems and prose from my memoir "Entombed in Silence," and answer questions. Several siblings and extended family will be in attendance.
It is easy to see why Worth Magazine judges RAINN among America's 100 Best Charities. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotline's free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. We Can't Do It Alone.
What can you do to help? It can be as simple as opening your mind and heart. Come join us. The least that can happen is you learn something new. At most, you can save a life.
