Small Flash Flood on Carol Lane

Earlier today a Sudden storm blew into grand island and lead to street flood on Carol Lane. The water in the street was several feet deep and was activily comming out of the sewers as they backed up. We tried to call the emergency water treatment 24 hour help line but only got a recording.
The storm blew over quickly and the waters drained rapidly.
Although Carol Lane has had minor sew problems for some time now, this is the first time the street was partially covered by flood waters in our neighbor's experience.
While scary only minor property damage occurred. Mainly water blown in through windows and soaking furniture. Some water
A number of folks were scared while other partied int eh flood waters until police asked them to disperse.
