Stagecoach & Wagon Train In Catt County

In celebration of the Bicentennial for Cattaraugus County, the equestrian community in the county planned a 2 Week Stagecoach Run & Wagon Train to begin August 8, 2008 in Ellicottville and to travel 180 Miles across the county until reaching Little Valley on August 22, 2008. There are approximately 25 wagons participating along with many outriders (folks riding horses).

The train stops daily for lunch and dinner in different locations along the route. The host communities welcome the train with food, fun and games. There is singing, dancing, campfires, blacksmith demonstrations, story tellers and much more.

Tonight, Portville will host the wagon train with plenty of food, old-fashioned games and a civil war encampment.

The train will continue after Portville to Olean, Allegany, Salamanca and finally to Little Valley. Many activities are planned for each community including an Arch Dedication in Salamanca. The Arch is a duplicate of the Arch that was build in Salamanca during the county's Centennial celebrations.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, you won't want to miss.
