With every suicide, there are family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers—‘survivors’—left behind to cope with the tragic loss. This event, taking place Saturday, Nov. 23, from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Butler Rehabilitation Center Auditorium on the Buffalo Psychiatric Center Campus, 400 Forest Ave., is an opportunity for survivors to share their grief, reach out for support and support others.
The program will include a broadcast from the AFSP featuring people from all over who have lost close relatives and friends to suicide. A local panel discussion will follow the broadcast. Included on the panel will be family members who have lost relatives to suicide, a bereavement counselor, and other mental health clinicians.
A light lunch will be served from Noon to 12:45 p.m. Please RSVP to (716) 816-2011 for this free event. For more information, go to www.afsp.org
