Are you a fan of extreme sports? If so, then take note that the Stihl Timbersports Canadian Series is stopping in nearby London, Ont., this month for Team Canada’s training camp as they get ready to participate in the Stihl Timbersports World Championship in Stuttgart, Germany, Oct. 25-26.
The team will be conducting training sessions starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. Spectators will be able to see the top five Canadian timbersports athletes prepare for the biggest logger sports competition on the planet! The team will then fly to Stuttgart from London International Airport on Tuesday, October 22.
The training camp events will take place at Covent Garden Market Square, 130 King St., London. Team Canada consists of Mitch Hewitt of Chase, BC; Donald Lambert of St. Gilles, QC; J.P. Mercier of St. Lambert de Lauzon, QC; Marcel Dupuis of Memramcook, NB; and Nathan Cumberland of Keswick Ridge, NB.
