Come help Soccer Shots celebrate the 100th birthday of the U.S. Soccer Federation!
One century ago marked the genesis of soccer here in the United States. To celebrate this major milestone, Soccer Shots is hosting a birthday party on October 19 for the U.S. Soccer Federation that will also work to raise money for the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Global Goals!
Players from the UB Men’s Soccer team will join our coaches to host a FREE one-hour soccer clinic to help us raise money for these two, fantastic not-for-profit organizations.
Since 1994, the U.S. Soccer Foundation has helped spread soccer throughout the United States, with a special focus on underserved areas. The Soccer Shots franchise launched Global Goals in 2011 and partnered with the U.S. Soccer Foundation to work together to keep kids active and healthy.
Last year, Global Goals raised $20,000 for their Urban Soccer Symposium, a program that gives support to coaches across the country to help them make an impact in their communities through the game of soccer.
The one-hour soccer clinic begins at 10:30 a.m. on October 19 in Delaware Park right along Nottingham Terrace. There will be a suggested donation of $10 to take part in the clinic, and anyone interested can register online at: www.soccershotsbuffalo.com .
Our program works with children aged 2-8, and our focus is FUN! So come out and watch the UB Men’s Soccer team get goofy with us as we play with our past, present and future Soccer Shots stars!
We hope to see you there!

More on the U.S. Soccer Foundation: The U.S. Soccer Foundation was established in 1994 and serves as the major charitable arm of soccer in the United States. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $59 million in financial support to soccer organizations and field-building initiatives nationwide, collected and redistributed close to 900,000 pieces of soccer equipment for children in need worldwide, and provides physical activity, nutrition education and mentorship for children in 20 cities across the country.
More on Global Goals: Global Goals was born out of a vision that the Soccer Shots franchise community could join together and provide opportunities for growth to disadvantaged children, through soccer, across the U.S. and around the world. In 2009, Global Goals, a non-profit organization, was formed to increase capacity for established and reputable non-profit organizations using soccer to positively impact underserved children. The Soccer Shots franchise community has embraced this cause and the vast majority of Soccer Shots business owners actively participate in raising funds and awareness, through Global Goals, for our non-profit partners.
More on Soccer Shots: Our program provides an innovative curriculum that extends beyond physical activity. We use creative, simple play activities that incorporate values like teamwork, encouragement and cooperation. The enhancement of a child's coordination, balance and agility is often seen immediately, but it is the building blocks being created for a life-long love of sports that have the strongest impact.
