Wagging tails and wet noses will fill the trails at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village on Saturday, Aug. 24, as Pet-A-Palooza returns from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bring your dog along and shop for fun toys, treats and more.
Pet-A-Palooza is a celebration of pets of all kinds, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and reptiles. Brought to you in conjunction with Open Arms Rescue of WNY, visitors will learn about and visit local rescue organizations, and maybe even go home with a new best friend! Lectures and training sessions will also be available on-site, and the event will feature pet contests, raffles and prize giveaways.
Located in Akron, Open Arms Rescue of WNY is a small, grassroots rescue group comprised of volunteer members who have been involved in rescue for years and share a common goal of saving dogs and pups from unwanted situations and placing them into loving forever homes. They are a non-profit organization funded solely by donations and fundraising efforts. For more information about the rescue group, please call 254-4025.
