Do you love visiting museums but dread reading exhibit panels? Then the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has the perfect new opportunity for you. Let one of our staff or docents bring the museum’s collections to life in a fun-filled, fact-filled tour. Join us for an hour long exploration of the museum’s collection of historic carrousel animals, band organ production equipment, woodcarving shop, 1950s kiddie rides, and more. To top it off, everyone enjoys a ride on our historic 1916 #1 Special carrousel. A guided tour is a great way to experience the museum for visitors of all ages, from 9 to 99.
You won’t want to miss this chance to get the inside scoop on the museum’s collections, so mark your calendar to join us on either Wednesday, May 1 or Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 1:00pm–2:00pm. These guided museum tours are included in regular museum admission ($6 adults; $5 seniors; $3 students ages 2 – 16), and participants are welcome to explore the museum further on their own. Tours depart from the museum’s main entrance hall and no reservations are needed—just join right in. If you can’t join us in April, public guided tours are offered the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Saturday of each month through November.
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson Street, North Tonawanda.
