BASCS National Honor Society hosted a penny drive to raise money for 2013 Pennies for Patients. The NHS asked all of the advisory (homeroom) classrooms to collect pennies and other spare change from students, faculty and staff, offering a pizza party to the advisory class that raised the most money. Mr. Sullivan’s advisory is the winning class for collecting 7500 pennies in three weeks!
Overall, BASCS students, faculty and staff helped the NHS raise $350 to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The donated funds will help fund research and provide medicine for those who can’t afford the costly expenses for daily treatment.
