Dog Ears offers free Puppy Tales series

Dog Ears Bookstore, a nonprofit neighborhood bookstore located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, will begin a new series of “Puppy Tales” story time sessions on Friday, Feb. 22. South District Councilman Chris Scanlon will sponsor the session, making it free to the first 20 children registered.

“Reading is a fundamental part of any child’s life, and I am happy to sponsor this wonderful program for the children of South Buffalo,” said Scanlon. “I am proud to be part of Puppy Tales as it not only shows the fun that reading can bring, but each child will walk away with books to have in their homes to read over and over.”

Open to children ages 2 to 4, Puppy Tales runs from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Fridays for six weeks. Each session includes stories, a craft and snacks. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
