I would like to somehow contact necessary authorities and suggest that the driver who originally called police to report the domestic violence be nominated for some type of citizens award. He very likely prevented a murder or murder-suicide.

I happen to agree with Sandy, I was at the scene and heard the police complain and ask channel 7 to stop giving away SWAT team locations several times. It is best to wait till after the incident to show such footage for safety reasons.

Both of us, having been employed in TV OB from 52 until retirement, would like to congratulate you on coverage of the standoff. Getting units in position, feeds back and coherant reporting is seldom easy and often very time consuming. Well done

I am so disappointed in the way Channel 7 news handled coverage of this gunman's standoff. I heard on the broadcast that the media was aked not to talk about police positions, yet that is all they spoke about. Staying on the air hindered early end.
