Buffalo 716ers Announced as New ABA Team

Indianapolis. IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added the Buffalo 716ers to its growing list of expansion teams for the 2013 season. “Buffalo is a great sports city and certainly is long overdue for an ABA team,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “We have waited for quite a few years for the right ownership group, and we finally have it in Tawan Slaughter. She and her staff have been working hard for several months putting things together there and we are confident that they’ll do a great job.”
Tawan Slaughter who is a former SUNY Fredonia and Buffalo State College women’s basketball player; has also coached high school basketball for both boys and girls and has also coached for Buffalo State College women’s basketball. She’s a dynamic woman with great ideas on how to create a winning team and organization here in the city of Buffalo.
The Buffalo 716ers’ season will begin November 2013 and their home games will be held at Villa Maria College 240 Pine Ridge Heritage Boulevard Buffalo, NY.

It's about time that Buffalo has a new team! Does anyone have more information on this team? All I know is the season starts in November and they play at Villa Maria College.
