Local Heroes Rescue Two Men from River

Saturday April 12th, 2008
The Arbogast Family of East River Road, Grand Island saw two men in a canoe fall into the freezing river.
The family chased the two men down the river with the current about 1/2 mile for nearly 30 minutes when they were eventually rescued. Father and son heroes Barry and Cory Arbogast borrowed a neighbor's boat and rowed to the survivors where they pulled them back to shore, out of the water, and to safety with the help of fire and police officials.
