Dog Ears plans events for all ages

The nonprofit Dog Ears Bookstore, 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo, has several events planned in the coming weeks that should appeal to people of all ages!

Every Thursday evening at 7 p.m., Dog Ears hosts Bedtime Stories for children ages 4 to 8 accompanied by a parent. Children are invited to wear their pajamas to this fun and free family event.

The monthly 4th Friday Poetry Series resumes at 7 p.m. Oct. 26. This month’s event will feature poets Larry Bachman and Joanna Dicker-Bachman. There will be open reading slots, pizza provided by Bella Pizza and refreshments. A $2 charge helps fund future educational programs offered at the bookstore. Please come down to listen or share your work.

A fun Halloween party for 2 to 4 year olds will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. Come in costume for a story time with crafts, snacks and games. The cost is $5 per child and the party is limited to 20 children. Please call the bookstore to register.

And finally, a new series of “Puppy Tales” story time sessions begins on Friday, Nov. 2. Open to children ages 2 to 4, Puppy Tales runs from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Fridays for six weeks. Each session includes stories, a craft and snacks. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is a registration fee of $15 and room for 20 children in the program.
