Survivor Suzanne Perry celebrates Domestic violence awareness month with '31 days of purple' which she wears something purple each day as a survivor of 22 years of an abusive marriage. She and lights the nonprofit she directs, OP Music House, purple. Perry says its symbolic of a purple beacon of hope, in honor of those who lost their voices (lives), for survivors and family to shine, brightly with courage, so others may live, and find their way out of an abusive relationship. Never, ever give up.
Shining purple for lives lost, for hope
