Pet Connection Programs Inc., a unique maternity and special care animal shelter located in Marilla, will hold two upcoming events to benefit the nonprofit organization.
The shelter’s annual Great Groovy Yard Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Marilla Fire Hall, located at Two Rod Road and West Avenue. Individuals may drop off donations for the yard sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Fire Hall. Donated items must be in good condition. Large appliances, furniture, computers and printers will not be accepted.
During the yard sale, Pet Connection will also hold a Chicken BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Complete chicken dinners will be available for take-out only and will cost just $9. The dinner includes a half chicken, homemade noodle salad, homemade creamy corn bake, fresh salt potatoes, roll and dessert.
Pet Connection’s annual Sweetest Day Dinner and Concert will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Marilla Fire Hall. Tickets are $15 and reservations are required.
The event will feature local singing sensation Jack Civiletto, a huge basket auction, great door prizes and an open bar. Dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and homemade desserts from Rosemary’s Bakery.
