About 400 breast cancer survivors and volunteers attended this morning's American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Kick Off in Amherst this morning. The event marks the start of plans for Making Strides, Western New York's largest breast cancer awareness event. The campaign will culminate with a 5-K walk through Downtown Buffalo on Sunday, September 30. WKBW-TV is returning as the local media sponsor of the walk.
