Nearby London to Rock the Park

Nine years ago, Jones Entertainment Group created Rock the Park to support Bethany’s Hope Foundation in progressing research for Matachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). When the effects of this terrible disease hit close to home, claiming the life of 7-year-old Bethany McIntyre, friendship and hope came together with a vision to “Rock for a Cure.” Seven years later, through the support of dedicated fans and a love for music, Rock the Park proudly reached the goal of $1 million raised and donated to MLD research.

With well over $1 million now raised, Rock the Park is entering its ninth year with a renewed vision to grow the appeal for younger audiences while staying true to its original classic rock roots and the fans who have supported the event since day one. The three-day festival, taking place in nearby London, Ontario, from July 26-28, is about holding on to hope, having fun and bringing back some great memories of ’70s, ’80s and ’90s rock!

Among those headlining the 2012 event in London’s Harris Park are Boston, REO Speedwagon, Steve Miller Band, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, The Romantics, 54-40, Slash, Bush and more.
