Join the family fun at the 163rd annual St. Mary's Summer Picnic on Sunday, July 22. The event features world-famous chicken clam chowder, traditional games of skill and chance, all-day live entertainment stage, pony rides, amusement rides and BBQ chicken dinners served in the air-conditioned Parish Center.
New this year is the first 5K Chowder Chase which begins at 11:15 a.m. Registered runners receive a string backpack bag, drink and chowder coupons. Register at www.stmaryswormville.org.
"Boys of Summer" will entertain from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy "Trinkets and Treasures" and take a chance at the sweepstakes drawing.
To kick off picnic weekend, a beer and wine social will be held on Friday, July 20 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m featuring the Roadrunners Band playing old-time party rock-n-roll. Also new this year is an expanded beer garden.
