A new Parent & Child Play Group designed for children 18 to 30 months will be offered at the nonprofit Dog Ears Bookstore from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on five Wednesday mornings beginning July 11.
Facilitated by Maureen McDonnell, a New York State licensed speech language pathologist, the play group will encourage and foster social play and interaction, language learning through books and songs, and communication skills. The program will also feature exposure to early literacy skills, small group play, circle time and a snack.
Play groups will be held on July 11, 18 and 25, and Aug. 1 and 15. The cost of the program is $45, and space is limited. For more information or to register, please call Maureen at 713-6195.
