The highly anticipated Roycroft Summer Arts & Crafts Festival, featuring the work of more than 75 juried artisans — including more than 35 Roycroft Renaissance Artisans — will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23-24 on the grounds of Parkdale Elementary School, 141 Girard Ave., East Aurora. This family friendly event will also feature food, entertainment and a chance to win a spectacular “Goodie Box” containing items created by Roycroft Artisans.
The Roycroft Goodie Box and its contents are valued at $5,700. The actual wooden box was handcrafted by Roycroft Renaissance Master Artisan Howard Lehning, and the winning ticket will be drawn at 4 p.m. on June 24.
Providing musical entertainment during the event will be local favorites Creek Bend and Doug Yeomans & the Lo Blu Flame. Food concession stands will provide all of your favorite summertime treats, and be sure to pick up a festival T-shirt and commemorative poster while you’re there.
Guests are invited to enjoy a leisurely stroll while they check out a wide variety of artisan offerings, including jewelry, pottery, glass, wood, clay, book arts, metal, tile, basketry, fabric, graphics and many other art forms. Roycroft Renaissance Artisans participating in the festival are easily identified by the display of the trademarked and licensed “double R” mark on their work and a plaque displayed in their booth.
A shuttle service, provided by Absolut Care at Aurora Park, will be available to take attendees to the festival and the Roycroft Campus throughout the weekend. The shuttle will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
