Sunfest 2012, Canada’s premier celebration of the global arts, held without admission fee in beautiful Victoria Park in nearby London, Ontario, is set to take place July 5-8. This unique, high-profile event features over 30 top professional world music dance and jazz ensembles based in Canada and abroad.
Sunfest is a nonprofit community arts group dedicated to promoting cross-cultural awareness and understanding of the arts across a range of disciplines such as music, dance and the visual arts. With its laid back, family friendly vibe, Sunfest remains one of the most culturally diverse events of its kind – each year attracting more than 225,000 patrons from Winnipeg to Western New York!
For four days, professional ensembles representing nearly every continent on earth will perform on two main stages at night and three satellite stages during the day. While global music and dance continue to be the highlight of Sunfest, the festival is also becoming popular for its incredible food and craft exhibitors from across Canada who offer everything from authentic African artifacts to mouth-watering Afghani cuisine. Over the course of a sun-drenched July weekend, visitors can truly eat and shop their way around the world!
