Roycroft Arts & Crafts Festival planned

The Roycroft Summer Arts & Crafts Festival is a very unique show featuring exceptional artisan talent. This year’s show includes talent from over 75 juried artisans, more than 35 of which are Roycroft Renaissance Artisans.

The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23 & 24 at Parkdale Elementary School, 141 Girard Ave., East Aurora. Many medias will be available, including jewelry, wood, clay, book arts, metal, tile, basketry, graphics and many other art forms. The Roycroft Renaissance Artisans are distinguished by the display of the trademarked and licensed “Double R” mark on their work and a plaque displayed in their booth.

New this year, a shuttle service provided by Absolut Care at Aurora Park will be available to take people to the Art Show and Roycroft Campus throughout the weekend. The shuttle will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The very popular Goodie Box raffle will also be featured at the event. This fabulous raffle includes a wooden box crafted by Howard Lehning, a Roycroft Renaissance Master Artisan in woodworking, and includes contents donated by Roycroft Renaissance Artisans. One winner will be drawn at this year’s Roycroft Summer Festival at 4 p.m. June 24. The total value of the Goodie Box and its contents is valued at $5,700.

The festival will offer food, music, festival T-shirts and posters, and Roycrofters At Large Association memberships will be available. Each year at the patron level, members receive an item crafted by one of the Roycroft Renaissance Artisans. This year’s premium is a clay tile designed and number by Roycroft Renaissance Master Artisan Marsha Van Vlack.
