Come wish Mr. Herschell a happy 161st birthday! Born in Scotland on April 27, 1851, Allan Herschell never carved a horse in his life—but his companies made some of the world’s most beautiful carrousels. Learn more about Mr. Herschell’s fascinating life and career as we celebrate his legacy in North Tonawanda. Kids can make special crafts that celebrate Mr. Herschell’s Scottish heritage, and everyone will enjoy a special bagpipe performance at 1:00pm by Jason Myers. Don’t forget to take part in fun birthday games and activities, and of course have some cake!
There’s fun for all ages, so mark your calendar to join us on Saturday, April 28, 2012 between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. The program is included in regular admission ($5 adults; $4 seniors; $2.50 students ages 2 – 12).
