A second Pre-K room was added at Annunciation for the current school year.

Annunciation accepting PreK applications

Annunciation School, located at 7580 Clinton St. in Elma, is currently accepting applications for Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 for the 2012-13 school year. Following the New York State core standards for preschools, the primary goal in Annunciation Pre-K is to have your child’s first experience in school be a positive and successful one!

Pre-K students at Annunciation review colors and shapes and begin pre-math, pre-writing and pre-reading skills, and work to develop the social and learning skills that are important for academic success. Students also begin using sign language as a second language and enjoy art, music, library, computer lab and physical education.

This is also the perfect age to begin science education, exploring the world that God created. Students begin learning prayers and thank God for all He gives us every day.

There are several options for Pre-K at Annunciation. Pre-K3 is offered from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Pre-K4 is offered from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. Before- and after-school programs are also available.

For more information or to schedule a tour or “shadowing” opportunity, please call the school office at 681-1327, email office.annunciation@gmail.com, or visit the school’s website at www.annunciationschoolelma.com.
