Dinner/concert to benefit Pet Connection

A Pre-Mother’s Day chicken dinner and concert featuring musical entertainment by The Easy Street Big Band will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Marilla Fire Hall, located at Two Rod Road and West Avenue. Proceeds from the event will benefit Pet Connection Programs Inc., a nonprofit special care and maternity shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla.

Tickets are just $15 per person and include a complete chicken dinner, dessert by Rosemary’s Bakery and an open bar. Other highlights of the event include a basket auction, 50/50 raffle, great door prizes and an appearance by Mr. No - The Balloon Guy!

The Easy Street Big Band, inducted into the Buffalo Music Awards Hall of Achievement in 2010, brings together some of Western New York’s most talented musicians. While music from the Big Band Era makes up a large portion of the band’s lineup, jazz tunes and a variety of other types of music round out its repertoire.

Tickets to the event are limited and are pre-sale only. For information, call the shelter at 652-0192 or visit www.petconnectionprogramsinc.com. Frequent updates can also be found by following Pet Connection on Facebook.
