May gets off to a rocking start with Bryan Adams in concert at 8 p.m. May 5. Live Nation is thrilled to announce Adams’ first Cross Canada Tour in more than 20 years! The world’s premier figure skating tour, “Stars on Ice” visits the JLC for a 4 p.m. show on May 6. In 2012, the “Stars on Ice Love ‘n’ Life” tour gets a new infusion of creativity from legendary skater Kurt Browning, who will co-direct and choreograph this year’s production! The tour features a stellar cast of world-renowned athletes, including Browning, 2010 Olympic Gold Medalists and World Champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (Canada), 2010 Olympic Bronze Medalist Joannie Rochette (Canada), and Olympic Bronze Medalist and World Champion Jeffrey Buttle (Canada).
Music will fill the air again when Juno Award winner Johnny Reid brings his “Fire It Up, Let Love Live Again Tour” to the stage at 7:30 p.m. May 8. Also scheduled to perform is special guest Carolyn Dawn Johnson.
Cirque du Soleil comes to town with its critically-acclaimed “Dralion” performance from May 16-20. Thrilling more than eight million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, “Dralion” is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil.
To close out the month, Broadway in London presents “Young Frankenstein” at 7 p.m. May 27. You certainly don’t want to miss this “blissfully funny monster mash.”
