Kinzua Dam Eagles

The Annual Kinzua Dam Eagle Watch was held on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Several eagles were spotted in the area below the kinzua dam. The event brings in a few hundred visitors each year. Normally, the dam is frozen over this time of the year and the eagles are naturally drawn to the flowing waters below. Even though this winter has been mild and there was no ice, several eagles were spotted from each of the viewing areas. The event was held from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM and included other related activities as well. Free coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and pretzels were also available. The kinzua dam is located on route 59 between Bradford and Warren, PA.
